Winnipeg Drift is a Drift located astride a major Slipstream nexus connecting the Andromeda Galaxy with the Greater Magellanic Cloud. Winnipeg Drift is a huge center of trade, a station where the warehouses and cargo pods outnumber the inhabitants three to one. Winnipeg also serves as a refueling and repair station for long haul cargo runners and homeport to numerous spacecraft, especially those who choose to remain unaffiliated with the Free Trade Alliance. Winnipeg was one of the first signatories to the Restored Systems Commonwealth, and was a proponent of allowing the Sabra-Jaguar Pride to join while the Mutual Defense Pact was being drafted.
