The Templar are a group of humans who tried to restore order after the Fall. They were founded by Admiral Constanza Stark.
History
In the aftermath of the Battle of Witchead, Stark gathered what humans were loyal to the Commonwealth. With them, she founded the Templar, and organization dedicated to stopping the Nietzscheans and preservation of the High Guard's ideals. To keep them in order, Stark had her mind transfered to a new "volunteer" after the last died.
In 100 AFC, a group of Templar began to think that genetic engineering was the true threat and wanted the extermination of all altered humans. Stark personally threw them out. These outcasts soon became known as the Genites.
A year after the founding of a new Commonwealth, the Templar soon reveal themselves to its pride and joy, the Andromeda Ascendant. They enlisted the ship's help in taking a Genite base, which was supposedly holding a virus to destroy all altered humans. But in reality, it held a virus to destroy all Nietzscheans. After taking the base, the Templar reveal that they intend to use the virus as a deterrent to free all slave worlds from Nietzschean control.
