Supreme Commander is a title which was used within the Vedran Empire and its later descendant, the Systems Commonwealth. The title was given to the commander of the entire High Guard and all of the forces involved with it, and is known to have been given during pre-Commonwealth times; however, no definitive use of it has been found during or after the Vedran Empire's evolution into the Commonwealth.
It is notable that the known holders of the title were married to an Empress. This, in most European forms of aristocracy, would probably make them some manner of Prince Consort.
