Maury Chaykin (1949-2010) was an actor who played Citizen Eight on Andromeda. His extensive credits included Oscar-winning films like Dances with Wolves, a stint as Nero Wolfe in 2001-2, supporting roles in popular films such as Devil in a Blue Dress, My cousin Vinny, Twins, and action films of the late 1990's-early 2000's such as Cutthroat Island, Entrapment, The Mask of Zorro, and The Art of War. He also is known for playing the gluttonous Goa'uld, Nerus on two episodes of Stargate SG-1.
Chaykin tragically passed away from complications from a heart valve infection on his 61st birthday in Toronto, 2010.
