Andromeda was conceived by Gene Roddenberry in the early 70's and Post-Humously produced on his behalf by his widow Majel Barrett. Captain Dylan Hunt is a member of the Systems Commonwealth's High Guard, he and his ship the Andromeda Ascendant are frozen in time, to awake 300 years in the future where he discovers that the Commonwealth has fallen and the universe has fallen into chaos, with the strong preying on the weak. Hunt decides to change all of this. And so with a new crew Hunt sets out to create a new Commonwealth and bring order to a chaotic galaxy.
