Biography[]

Kevin Sorbo (born 24 September 1958, Mound, Minnesota, USA) is an American actor. He attended Minnesota State University Moorhead, majoring in marketing and advertising. He played Dylan Hunt throughout the entire series. He is otherwise known for playing Hercules in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.

Beginning his acting career in print and television commercials, Sorbo auditioned for the role of Superman/Clark Kent in "Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" (1993-1997) before losing the role to Dean Cain. He also contended for the role of Fox Mulder in "The X Files."

Sorbo wrote a 2011 memoir of his struggles with an aneurysm while playing Hercules entitled, "True Strength" In 2013, he voiced an antagonistic Hercules in the video game, "God of War: Ascension."

With an acting resume spanning more than 200 film and television credits, he has appeared playing both leads and supporting roles in films such as "Kull the Conqueror" (1997), "What If..." (2010), "Soul Surfer" (2011) and "God's Not Dead" (2014). Sorbo made his directorial debut with the religious drama, "Let There Be Light" (2017) and continued directing films with "Miracle in East Texas" (2019) and the upcoming "Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist."
