High Guard Station Acheron.
High Guard Station Acheron was a mountain fortress of the High Guard, located on the planet Acheron. Which served the High Guard as both a base and logistics center. Being a mountain that was made of solid rock, it provided the High Guard installation formidable protection. The facility contained within a missile command center, that controlled orbital missile defense batteries that could deliver missile strikes. Missiles that could inflict damage ranging from the kiloton range to the multi-megaton range.
In CY 9785, it was where the Nietzscheans foiled a High Guard counter-offensive against the Nietzschean Uprising. The Nietzscheans lost fifty ships and three mobile infantry divisions in their siege of the fortress. Afterwards, the Drago-Kazov Pride was in possession of the base from which it controlled the system's High Guard missile batteries. Over three centuries later, Captain Dylan Hunt and Tyr Anasazi infiltrated the Drago-Kazov fortress and seized control of the missile command center. Forcing the Nietzscheans to withdraw their fleet, thereby ending the threat that the fleet and the missile batteries posed to the Andromeda Ascendant and the relief convoys delivering medical supplies to a plague stricken world.
