The Artificial Intelligence of the Andromeda Ascendant is an extremely powerful artificial intelligence that controls and regulates the ship. It manifests itself as a hologram and an on-screen image. The AI is extremely powerful, and alive and granted the same rights as a living person by the Systems Commonwealth and most civilized planets. The AI prefers to be referred to in the feminine, and the form of the AI that is encountered the most is the mobile android housing that Seamus Harper built. The android is affectionately known as Rommie by the crew. The AI has been seen from time to time having a argument with her self (Hologram vs On-screen or On-screen and Hologram vs Rommie (android)).
History
She was installed in the Andromeda Ascendant Glorious Heritage Class vessel a year after her keel was laid in CY 9768. She was activated soon after so she could adapt to her new environment and assist the crew in construction. Her serial number is GRA 112.
